The Body Matters Clinic Covid-19 Arrangements and Advice
COVID-19 is a new strain of coronavirus first identified in December 2019. For the fit and healthy, it remains a mild illness, however, it is important to limit the spread to protect the health and wellbeing of the whole population. For the over 70s and those with underlying health conditions such as respiratory conditions and diabetes, it poses a higher risk.
The practitioners at The Body Matters Clinic take the responsibility to protect your health seriously. With this in mind, we have instituted the following measures:
- Any practitioner who is feeling unwell or is showing symptoms have been asked not to come into the clinic.
- We will regularly clean door handles and shared surfaces during the day and after the clinic closes. All treatment couches will be wiped down after each patient/client and we will use single-use couch roll as usual.
- All patients/clients will be asked to wash or sanitise their hands on arrival.
- All practitioners will perform a 20 second-hand wash between patients/clients and/or use alcohol hand gel.
- We kindly request that any patients/clients displaying known symptoms (a new persistent cough and/or a high temperature) do not attend the clinic; our normal cancellation policy will not apply.
- We kindly request any patients/clients who are at higher risk from coronavirus to consider whether they are satisfied that they want to receive treatment with these measures in place. Any patient/client who does not wish to receive treatment may cancel their appointment at any time.
We continue to follow the advice of the Department of Health and Chief Medical Officer, as things are changing every day, we will endeavour to provide you with regular updates.
