Smoking – Why Give Up?
Ending the smoking habit can be done quickly and effectively with BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT®) – but why give up in the first place?
The NHS lists 10 benefits that come from stopping smoking. Breathing is easier due to greater lung capacity. You have more energy as your circulation improves so all physical activities become easier. Stress levels after giving up have been shown to be lower. Improved blood flow means greater sensitivity and better sex. Stopping smoking improves fertility. For women, stopping smoking reduces the likelihood of a miscarriage, whilst improving the chances of having a healthy baby. The senses of taste and smell improve. Facial ageing is slowed and the appearance of wrinkles is delayed. The chance of having gum disease or losing teeth is reduced. One lives longer. And so do friends and family members we come into contact with.
Passive smoking by the children of smokers are twice as likely as other children to get chest illnesses, including pneumonia, ear infections, wheezing and asthma, and three times as likely to get lung cancer in later life.
For men, stopping smoking at the age of 60 adds three years to one’s life, whilst quitting at 30 extends life on average by ten years.
And then there’s how your finances will improve and the things you will now be able to do with the money you have saved.
Apparently being a non-smoker makes one three times more appealing to prospective partners than smokers.
Whilst there is no shortage of good reasons for stopping smoking, it’s useful to think about what’s the most important motivation for you. One thing is for sure – something is going to be ten times better than it is now. And with a single 2-hour session of BWRT® to make the change from being a smoker to someone who breaths fresh air, it couldn’t be easier to get it sorted.
