Calm Your Mind with Meditation in Southend-on-Sea
I had always wanted to try meditation. I don’t know why; I guess it was something that I wanted to see if it could be beneficial to me. After all, so many celebrities had endorsed it, and I had never been quite able to quieten my mind, switch off and really relax because I was always on the go.
The first meditation I ever did, well goodness me, did my mind wander?! But after persevering and plenty of practice, I found my mind slowly but surely quietened. I quite quickly felt calmer and more in control. Now, after nearly 5 years of practising, I can confidently say that meditation has had a profound effect on my life. It has reduced my worry and stress levels and allows me to feel freer and more content with my life.
I opened my own business 4 years ago which led to me working very long hours. After being open for just 2 years I went to China for 100 days to become a teacher of Meditation. The time in China was such an amazing and thought-provoking experience and my life has improved in such a positive way that now I would like others to experience the benefits I have discovered through meditation.
That’s how meditation improved my life. Here are just a few reasons that may find you feel the need to calm your mind, and how meditation can help improve your life too.
School Holiday Meltdown – Are temperamental teenagers driving you potty during the summer holidays? Simple meditation techniques, such as deep breathing and relaxation, have been shown to significantly improve unpleasant moods.
Poppin’ Painkillers – Do you find yourself regularly popping painkillers in a desperate attempt to ease your pain? Meditation techniques may help you to regulate your sensitivity to pain.
